Bagsakan Kabataan heads down south!
First Youth-Led Agroecological Fair at University of the Philippines Los Baños
On February 28, 2025, Bagsakan farmers from Lupang Ramos, Cavite successfully held a youth-led agroecological fair on university grounds together with our local chapter, NNARA Youth - UP Los Baños. They brought their fresh and organic fruits and vegetables all the way to Laguna to encourage university constituents to support our locally made products and to promote sustainable and farmer-led agriculture.
The initiative also aimed to strengthen the connection between the youth and our productive sector, specifically our farmers, in their plight to achieve genuine agrarian reform. The event garnered support from students, faculty, and different organizations, which widened the reach of the campaign for using sustainable agroecology to achieve climate justice.
