Farmers from San Jose del Monte, Bulacan once again brought their fresh harvests to the university last March 21, 2025. Through the agroecological fair, the students and the public were able to buy directly from the producers. The event began with a short program where farmers spoke about their daily struggles, the challenges they face because of land grabbing, and their fight for fair and sustainable agroecology. Student organizations and advocacy groups then expressed their solidarity, emphasizing the need for collective action in support of farmers’ rights.

The gathering sparked deeper discussions among the youth about the urgency of standing with farmers in their fight for land reform, food security, and environmental justice. Many participants realized how sustainable farming practices play a crucial role in ecological preservation and resilience against climate change. Informational materials distributed during the event further deepened their understanding, leading to a growing movement within the university to advocate for agroecology and food sovereignty. Since then, students have been actively organizing awareness campaigns and encouraging their peers to take part in efforts supporting farmers and sustainable agriculture.
